A surface is an agreement between layers. DELAMINATION begins when that agreement fails.

The interface appears

When bonded layers separate, the object exposes something it was built to conceal: the boundary between materials, the direction of adhesion, the history of pressure held between them.

DELAMINATION translates that process into a field that seems peeled, offset and still in motion. What might usually be classified as failure becomes a method of reading how the object was made.

THE HIDDEN LAYER COMES FORWARD.

Separation as knowledge

The campaign suspends the body among membranes that no longer behave as one surface. Some remain transparent, others become opaque at their torn edges. The figure appears, disappears and returns as the layers move.

The garment sits at the centre of that instability. Its black field stays controlled while the image records a boundary in the act of opening.

To separate a structure is sometimes to understand it for the first time.
